Tiny Wine Bar Visual Identity and Branding by POLAR DSGN
POLAR DSGN created a playful visual identity and wine bar branding system for Tiny Wine with custom script lettering and vivid color grids.
Montevideo-based design studio POLAR® DSGN has created an agile visual identity and hospitality branding system for Tiny Wine, an intimate natural wine and small-plates bar situated on Foley Street in London's Fitzrovia district. Operating under the guiding ethos "Tiny Space, Big Stories," the studio developed a graphic language that balances conversational warmth with clean structural discipline.
A Fluid Monoline Script System for Hospitality Branding
At the center of the branding system is a custom monoline cursive script wordmark. The lettering flows with rapid hand-drawn strokes that reflect the casual atmosphere of a neighborhood wine bar. Rather than remaining static, the script acts as an adaptable graphic overlay across candid flash photography, printed menus, coasters, and retail packaging. To complement the loose wordmark, POLAR DSGN paired it with Azeret Mono for functional data and Archivo for secondary information, anchoring opening hours, varietal listings, and street addresses in an architectural typographic framework.
Chromatic Versatility and Op-Art Optical Systems
The color architecture moves across six distinct hues: rich espresso brown (#4F2C00), saffron orange (#FC5714), bubblegum pink (#FFAEE6), mustard gold (#F0BD02), electric azure blue (#0689FF), and warm crema (#F8ECDC). Arranged in high-contrast pairings, these tones form an energetic 3x3 chromatic matrix across printed posters and digital channels. An accompanying op-art illustration suite uses alternating vertical pinstripes to render silhouettes of wine bottles, coupe glasses, and olive bowls through figure-ground illusion.
Physical Packaging and Environmental Artifacts
The branding extends across a tactile range of physical touchpoints. Screen-printed canvas tote bags, custom corrugated shipping cartons for natural wine delivery, rounded drink coasters, staff apparel, and die-cut bottle carrier bags establish an unpretentious yet cohesive branding presence across every guest touchpoint.
