Swan Soda Packaging Design by Orchidea Agency
Swan is a natural soda water brand. Orchidea Agency built a soda packaging design system using flat illustration blobs and a bespoke sans-serif wordmark.
Eight 200ml clear glass bottles, eight flavours, eight distinct illustration blobs — each one a loose organic shape keyed to its botanical ingredient. Rhubarb reads as a magenta-and-green stalk. Ginger is amber root. The walnut for Nut Cola carries a terracotta body with a green stroke. None of these are fussy; they sit large on a white label ground and let the soda packaging design breathe. Holding it all together: the wordmark “swan” in a custom lowercase sans-serif — black on white, refined terminals at the ‘S’ and ‘A’ that nod to the bird without depicting it. Pill-shaped neck labels in yellow, coral, neon green, and pink each print “SODA” rotated ninety degrees, a secondary system that only becomes legible when the bottles cluster.
Swan Soda Packaging Design: Elegance Meets Flat Illustration
The Barcelona studio solved a familiar problem — how to differentiate eight SKUs without fracturing the brand — by using illustration scale as the constant. Every blob fills most of the label; only the shape and hue change. Shot against cerulean blue and warm sand, the white label pops without needing embossing or foil. It is honest soda packaging design: no material tricks, just a clear system and a good eye for colour.
