Brand Brothers designed a hypnotic visual identity for Paris studio Not Yoga, pairing a kinetic monogram with undulating graphic waves.

Located at 13 rue des Tournelles in Paris, Not Yoga strips away traditional wellness tropes. The boutique workout space rejects spiritual mysticism, replacing mantras and chakras with dynamic posture routines for all skill levels. Infrared heating warms the practice room to 33°C, cultivating a detoxifying workout in an intimate setting free of mirrors. Soft ambient lighting keeps attention focused entirely on movement. To articulate this direct philosophy, Brand Brothers defined an unapologetic visual identity. The Paris-based studio bypassed cliché lotus symbols and pastel gradients. Instead, the team grounded the identity in bold geometric tension, disciplined monochrome contrast, and athletic vitality.

Kinetic Geometry in Visual Identity

At the core of the visual identity sits a geometric logotype governed by strict balance. Brand Brothers engineered an interlocking typographic structure that binds the words "not" and "yoga" into a unified lockup. Bold circular counterforms, heavy stems, and abrupt vertical slices generate tension across the glyphs. This architecture distills into a rotational monogram combining the letters "n" and "y". The resulting symmetrical mark evokes perpetual movement, suggesting cyclic momentum without decorative frills. Red construction lines on technical grid diagrams illustrate how circular arcs govern every curve, establishing mathematical harmony across display scales and responsive digital touchpoints.

Brand Brothers extended this modular grammar across physical, environmental, and time-based touchpoints. Outside the studio, a dimensional red acrylic wordmark anchors the stone storefront window against translucent linen curtains. On the pavement, a powder-coated wire A-frame sign welcomes visitors with the kinetic monogram, announcing the hot yoga studio and coffee shop. Inside, the visual identity translates into branded workout tights, sports bras, and merchandise displayed on raw limestone walls. A corner mirror slogan reads "it's not yoga / it's hot yoga". Kinetic video loops activate the system across digital screens, animating distorted typographic waves that undulate with hypnotic fluidity. This raw discipline turns physical exertion into an unmistakable graphic statement.
