Branding Design: Vocado by Estudio E
Discover the minimalist branding design and packaging for Vocado by Estudio E, featuring direct farm-to-table identity and refined typography.
Based in Valencia, Spanish creative practice Estudio E developed a comprehensive branding design, naming, and packaging system for Vocado, a family-owned avocado producer from the fertile Ribera region. Cultivating their own orchards with deliberate restraint, the brand sought to bypass industrial supermarket intermediaries and deliver fresh harvests directly to households across Spain and France. Rather than relying on ornate agricultural tropes or simulated rustic heritage, the studio built an unpretentious visual architecture rooted in absolute clarity, honest provenance, and tactile simplicity.
Multilingual Naming Strategy and Geometric Typographic Anatomy
The strategic foundation began with linguistic synthesis. By distilling the phonetic roots of the fruit across its core European markets—Spanish (aguacate), English (avocado), Valencian (alvocat), and French (avocat)—Estudio E created Vocado. This succinct, memorable moniker functions as an ownable trademark that communicates effortlessly across borders. The custom logotype pairs friendly, geometric lowercase letterforms with a subtle organic seed glyph integrated into the first letter, establishing an understated visual cadence. A restrained color palette reinforces this botanical precision: deep rind Verde Vocado anchors the identity, complemented by soft sage flesh green and warm pulp butter yellow.
Material choices across the packaging suite emphasize environmental responsibility and tactile craft. Retail portions are presented in molded compostable trays wrapped in dense charcoal-green paper sleeves, detailed with blind debossing and fine topographic contour lines reflecting the Corbera valley. For direct-to-consumer shipments, heavy corrugated cardboard crates feature bold silkscreen typography alongside circular agricultural certification seals in contrasting cream yellow. Verbal expressions like «Cosechamos para ti» and «Simplemente, aguacate» keep the narrative focused entirely on fresh cultivation.
Direct Farm-to-Table Digital Commerce and Clean Interface Grid
The identity translates into a responsive digital store designed for friction-free ordering. Estudio E structured the e-commerce interface around generous negative space, candid harvest photography, and clear typographic hierarchy. Macro close-ups of tree foliage and ripening fruit are balanced against clear data modules detailing orchard inventory and harvest timelines, completing a cohesive brand ecosystem from tree to table.
